Preview: Alpena Wildcats vs. Cedarville Trojans
Alpena has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Cedarville Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Alpena pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gaylord. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alpena in their matchups with Gaylord: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Cedarville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 55-45 to Newberry.
Alpena's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cedarville, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
