Jett Taylor Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Grand Saline got the W thanks in part to Jett Taylor playing the best football he has all season. Taylor's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 184 rushing yards dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

The victory for Grand Saline keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Taylor and Grand Saline will challenge Chisum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grand Saline Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Colt Boyd

Colt Boyd was instrumental in extending Grand Saline's winning streak to six on Friday. Boyd's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 126 rushing yards dating back to last season.

On the season, Boyd has averaged 3.6 total tackles per game.

Meadows Made His Presence Known in Quitman's 28-25 Victory

Klayton Meadows's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 101+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 160 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes.

For the season, Meadows has thrown 3 touchdowns while averaging 117.8 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 0.2 passing yards per game.

Lucas Pippin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Edgewood over Grand Saline

While Edgewood might've come up empty on Friday, Lucas Pippin wasn't going down without a fight. Pippin was unstoppable, rushing for 232 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
