Softball Recap: Riverside Gets the Win

After losing to Wade Hampton the last time they met, Riverside decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 13-10 victory over the Generals on Monday. With that win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Mia Gallello was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Natalie Regan, who got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with two runs and one triple.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Wade Hampton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-0 loss against James F. Byrnes on the 16th. As for Wade Hampton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-8 defeat against Spartanburg on the 16th.
