Baseball Recap: St. John XXIII Takes a Loss

If St. John XXIII was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Legacy Prep Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The St. John XXIII Lions took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumberton Raiders on Friday. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

St. John XXIII's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lumberton, their record is now 8-1.

St. John XXIII wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-4 defeat against Cornerstone Christian on the 1st. As for Lumberton, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-5 win against Big Sandy on the 1st.
