Lecanto is 8-2 against Central since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lecanto is leaving town to face Central after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Panthers lost 11-3 to Nature Coast Tech on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against Hernando on Tuesday, falling 13-1.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodee Haas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Lecanto was able to grind out a solid victory over Central when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 4-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
