Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles vs. South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers
The Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They blew past South Bend Career Academy 64-43. The victory was just what Elkhart Christian Academy needed coming off of a 65-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Aiden Hibbard, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Elkhart Christian Academy's points. LJ Bevier was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Elkhart Christian Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for South Bend Career Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elkhart Christian Academy will square off against Triton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Triton is ranked 254th, while Elkhart Christian Academy is ranked 251st). As for South Bend Career Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge LaVille at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully LaVille focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
