Volleyball Recap: Newark Memorial Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Newark Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Moreau Catholic Mariners, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mariners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Newark Memorial took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

Malia Kuehn paced Newark Memorial's offense, picking up nine kills. Kuehn got some help from Gianna Adame and her 20 assists. Finally, Evangelia Taimani kept Newark Memorial's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Newark Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Moreau Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season.
