Baseball Recap: Weymouth's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Weymouth had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Milton. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in April.

Matthew Oates spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Daley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Will Pratt was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Weymouth pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Milton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
