Football Recap: Forest Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Forest Park took on Jackson on Friday. The Panthers had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Jaguars. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Jackson found their leader in sophomore Marcus Gray, who rushed for 11 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes. Triston Ferguson was another key player, rushing for 129 yards and one score while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.

Forest Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Jackson, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Forest Park and Pace Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Jackson, they will face off against Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Jaguars 10, the Seminoles 7) so any points scored will be well earned.
