Softball Recap: Gill St. Bernard's Takes a Loss

Lawrenceville School hit Gill St. Bernard with a eight-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights came up short against the Big Red, falling 13-2. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gill St. Bernard's saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Kolenski, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Kolenski has snagged this season.

Gill St. Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Lawrenceville School, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gill St. Bernard's will head out to square off against Delaware Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Terriers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Lawrenceville School, they will face off against Allentown at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
