Volleyball Recap: Yuba City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Yuba City lost against Roseville back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Honkers lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Honkers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Yuba City had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-20.

Bridget Lavy paced Yuba City's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lavy got some help from Elizabeth Atkinson and her 12 assists. Athziri Romero controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Roseville can attribute much of their success to Brylie Beltran, who had 16 digs and one assist. Beltran is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Emyrson Ball also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Yuba City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Roseville, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-7.

Yuba City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Twelve Bridges on the 9th. As for Roseville, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Placer on the 7th.
