Softball Game Preview: Winslow Township Eagles vs. Moorestown Quakers

Winslow Township hasn't had much luck against Moorestown recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will challenge the Quakers at 3:45 p.m. Winslow Township has given up an average of 21.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Winslow Township is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Cherry Hill West, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Moorestown got the win against Seneca on Friday by a conclusive 15-7. With that victory, the Quakers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Mackenzie Seibel was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaida Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Moorestown kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Winslow Township's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Moorestown, their record now sits at 6-10-1.

Winslow Township suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Moorestown in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
