Soccer Game Preview: Progreso vs. IDEA Quest College Prep

The Progreso Red Ants will face off against the IDEA Quest College Prep Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Progreso didn't have quite enough to beat Raymondville and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, IDEA Quest College Prep had to start their season on the road back in December of 2025, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting IDEA Robindale an easy 4-1 victory. Things were pretty much settled by the half as IDEA Quest College Prep were already down 3-0.

Progreso has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for IDEA Quest College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Progreso beat IDEA Quest College Prep 3-1 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will the Red Ants repeat their success, or do the Trailblazers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
