Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Fighting Irish vs. Buena Park Coyotes

The Kennedy Fighting Irish will venture away from home to take on the Buena Park Coyotes at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy will be strutting in after a victory while Buena Park will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Kennedy was able to grind out a solid win over Moreno Valley, taking the game 8-3.

Noah Arriola looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kennedy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Daniel Monge was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Travis Bergmann also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Buena Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Costa Mesa, falling 15-0.

Buena Park's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Kennedy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Kennedy came out on top in a nail-biter against Buena Park when the teams last played on March 11th, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kennedy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
