Basketball Recap: Pearsall's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Pearsall has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 57-49 to the Somerset Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 271st).

Pearsall's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-9. As for Somerset, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Floresville the next time they take the court. Somerset will head out to face Floresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Pearsall will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th.
