Northwest waltzed into their game on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 46-37 win over the Leeton Bulldogs. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Leeton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14.

Coming up, Northwest will face off against St. Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in St. Elizabeth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. Leeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
