Newsome has gone 8-2 against East Bay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wolves will host the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Newsome's offense. They fell just short of Durant by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolves have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Allyson Conner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, East Bay fell victim to Bloomingdale and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 12-0 to the Bulls. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jensen Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

East Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Newsome, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.

Everything went Newsome's way against East Bay in their previous meeting on April 1st, as Newsome made off with an 11-0 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
