Softball Recap: Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons vs. Boyd County Lions
Niagara-Wheatfield kicked off their season on the road on Sunday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boyd County Lions.
For Boyd County's part, Elyn Simpkins spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits.

Niagara-Wheatfield will head out on the road to take on Hamburg at 5:00 p.m. on April 9th. As for Boyd County, they will challenge Chesterfield at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
