The Northview Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Northview comes in on ten and Long Beach Poly on three.

Northview's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over Baldwin Park. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won eight contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

Keanu Tauvao was his usual excellent self, rushing for 182 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Gonzales, who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Northview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 278 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Baldwin Park only rushed for 108.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Long Beach Poly). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Compton 58-0. The result was nothing new for the Jackrabbits, who have now won five matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Deuce Jefferson, who threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 53 yards. Tristan Ventura handled things on the ground, rushing for 136 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Long Beach Poly wouldn't let Compton keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Long Beach Poly can thank Juju Johnson and Pierce Tusa for forcing both of them. Long Beach Poly got some further help from Damien Matau: he made 12 total tackles (4.0 for loss) and defended a pass.

Northview pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.4 points per game. As for Long Beach Poly, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
