Basketball Recap: Nylah Mcshan Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Dover

Dover typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Steubenville proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 40-35 victory over the Dover Crimson Tornadoes. The win continues a trend for the Big Red in their matchups with the Crimson Tornadoes: they've now won four in a row.

Steubenville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nylah McShan, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 16 boards. The contest was McShan's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Jo Saccoccia, who posted ten points and three steals.

Steubenville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Steubenville's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Dover, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Steubenville will head out to take on Tri-Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tri-Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Steubenville surely won't give up without a fight. Dover does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
