Volleyball Recap: Weldon Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Weldon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Akron Rams, falling 3-0. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Weldon Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-11, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Weldon Valley still got an impressive performance from Skylar Scott, who had 19 digs, six kills, and one block. Scott is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Elyse Anderson was another key player, getting 22 digs.

Weldon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Akron, the victory snapped their losing streak at five matches and leaves them with a 6-9 record.

Coincidentally, Weldon Valley and Akron will both be playing Haxtun the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Fightin' Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will host them at 4:00 p.m. on the 10th.
