The Morehead Panthers will square off against the Walkertown Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Morehead is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Morehead's last matchup with Walkertown could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 15-9 to the Wolfpack. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

For Walkertown's part, Macy Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up eight earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Walkertown got a massive performance out of Aliviah Bateman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chloe Isaacs, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Walkertown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Walkertown's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Morehead, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
