Softball Recap: Northgate's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Northgate and East Nicolaus squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Northgate had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Broncos' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northgate saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taelyn Jriyasetapong, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

With the loss, Northgate broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-12. As for East Nicolaus, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
