Baseball Game Preview: Churchill Chargers vs. Farmington Falcons

The Churchill Chargers will square off against the Farmington Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Churchill is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Howell just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Farmington fell victim to University of Detroit Jesuit and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to the Cubs.

Farmington has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-27 record this season. As for Churchill, their loss dropped their record down to 22-8-1.

Churchill took their victory against Farmington in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
