Softball Game Preview: Iroquois West Raiders vs. Watseka Warriors

Iroquois West hasn't had much luck against Watseka recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m.

Iroquois West is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milford.

Kyla Dewitt put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Dewitt was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Dewitt wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Leah Honeycutt, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Watseka had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory.

Iroquois West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Watseka, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
