Soccer Recap: Thornapple Kellogg Takes a Loss

Thornapple Kellogg lost against West Catholic back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans lost 6-1 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, Thornapple Kellogg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 227th, while West Catholic are ranked 105th).

Thornapple Kellogg has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season. As for West Catholic, they pushed their record up to 7-4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thornapple Kellogg will face off against Northview at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Catholic, they will take on South Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
