Basketball Recap: Connell Comes Up Short

Connell lost against Naches Valley two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Connell Eagles were outmatched by the Naches Valley Rangers and fell 67-25. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Rangers are ranked 55th).

Connell's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Naches Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Connell will head out to take on Kiona-Benton at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Naches Valley, they will host Wapato at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Wapato sitting on six straight wins and Naches Valley on 12.
