Softball Game Preview: Deer Park Deer vs. Clear Lake Falcons

The Deer Park Deer will venture away from home to take on the Clear Lake Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Park's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Clear Lake's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Deer Park took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Clear Brook with a sharp 16-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Deer in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Clear Lake sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Dickinson on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Deer Park pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Clear Lake, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
