Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Alexa Eddie, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowan Swartz, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Gretna East's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lincoln Southwest. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Gretna East has scored all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Elkhorn South and nudges their season record down to 8-10. As for Gretna East, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.
