Volleyball Recap: New Haven Falls Despite Big Games from Lar Soe and Sa Ailok Htut

New Haven lost against Homestead back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Spartans.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Homestead scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

New Haven's loss came despite strong showings from Sa Ailok Htut and Lar Soe. Htut had 12 digs and two assists, while Soe had two blocks and two assists.

Homestead can attribute much of their success to Harrison Talarico, who had 17 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Talarico has posted over his last ten games.

New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Homestead, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2.

New Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Columbia City on the 7th. As for Homestead, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against DeKalb on the 7th.
