C J Scarpa and Cam Farnham provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Xaverian Brothers. The connection was good for 72 yards, the longest such play in Merrimack Valley - Large this season.
Chelmsford extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Dracut, 35-27. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Andover's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Scarpa threw for 203 and two touchdowns and Farnham had 77 yards receiving. On the ground Jack Sylvester chipped in 33 yards. Will Heikkinen helped Andover's passing attack out by catching two balls for 41 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Scarpa and Sylvester the Golden Warriors have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Scarpa leads the league in passing with 1001 yards, while Sylvester has rushed for 172 yards this season. Lowell's Jack Galvin leads the league in receiving yards with 377 on 24 catches.
Andover and the Hawks played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Andover eventually emerging with a 15-13 victory. Scarpa in the win.
