Pershing put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the River Rouge Panthers by a score of 52-40. Given the Doughboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Panthers are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pershing pushed their record up to 15-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.5 points per game. As for River Rouge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Pershing does not have any more games scheduled as of now. River Rouge has already played their next game (against Communication Media Arts), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
