Sariyah Villalpando posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024.

Villalpando's effort led Fairfax over Metro Tech and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
