Preview: Orem Tigers vs. Lone Peak Knights

Orem is 3-0 against Lone Peak since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Orem Tigers will be staying on the road to face off against the Lone Peak Knights at 3:30 p.m. Orem is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Orem was able to grind out a solid win over Pine View, taking the game 12-8.

Orem let Cheyanne Wells and Yeluanmy Alvarado loose on the outfield. Wells scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Alvarado scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Alvarado has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Hannah Maylett was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, sadly, Lone Peak is still looking for their first win of the season after five matches. They fell victim to a rough 18-5 defeat at the hands of Mountain View on Wednesday.

Even though they lost, Lone Peak was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. That's the most doubles they've managed all season.
