Volleyball Recap: Jackson Polar Bears vs. Hudson Explorers
While Jackson didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Hudson Explorers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Polar Bears also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Jackson got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 32-30, 25-22, 16-25, 25-19.

Jackson was led to victory by Cohen White and Mazio Manello. White had ten digs and two assists, while Manello had 19 digs and eight kills. That's the most kills Manello has posted since back in May of 2024. Drew Ertle also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.
Several Explorers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Disney, who had 11 digs.
Jackson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Hudson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Jackson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against St. Edward on the 10th. As for Hudson, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Brunswick on the 9th.
