Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Red Devils vs. Saluda Tigers

For the second straight game, Clinton will face off against Saluda. The Red Devils will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clinton has five straight victories, Saluda has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Clinton's win against Saluda wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Tigers on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Devils have posted against the Tigers since March 9, 2015.

Clinton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Saluda, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
