Basketball Game Preview: Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars vs. Eldorado Golden Eagles

Atrisco Heritage Academy is on a six-game streak of home losses, Eldorado a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars will welcome the Eldorado Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Eldorado took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Atrisco Heritage Academy, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with 13 losses in a row, Atrisco Heritage Academy turned things around against Rio Grande on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Ravens as they made off with a 57-31 victory. The Jaguars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Among those leading the charge was Selim Neel, who made all 8 shots she took to post 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jasmin West, who made all 5 shots she took for 12 points.

Meanwhile, Eldorado came up short against West Mesa on Saturday and fell 56-49. While the Golden Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 14-8 in the first quarter.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13.
