The Lancaster Tigers will take on the Mesquite Skeeters at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lancaster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2 runs per game this season.

Lancaster fell victim to Duncanville and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers and Pantherettes, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Mesquite never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on Skyline with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Skeeters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by nine runs or more this season.

Mesquite pushed their record up to 11-9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lancaster, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-3.
