Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Halifax Vikings vs. Weldon Chargers

The Northwest Halifax Vikings will square off against the Weldon Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northwest Halifax is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 62-36 to North Edgecombe. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 97-35, which was the final score in Weldon's tilt against Wilson Prep on Tuesday. The contest marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Northwest Halifax's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Weldon, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
