Softball Recap: Olivet Takes a Loss

Olivet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-12 to the Leslie Blackhawks. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Olivet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Leslie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Coming up, Olivet will square off against Dansville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Aggies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Leslie, they have already played their next matchup, a 24-5 win against Addison on the 23rd.
