Softball Recap: Hicksville Wins Going Away Against Wayne Trace

Hicksville barely beat Wayne Trace the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aces blew past the Raiders 12-2 on Tuesday. Considering the Aces have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hicksville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Wayne Trace, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Coming up, Hicksville will head out to challenge Antwerp at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Archers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.7 runs per game on average), something the Aces will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wayne Trace, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
