Volleyball Recap: Phillipsburg Takes a Loss

Phillipsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Ellsworth Bearcats. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2021.

Phillipsburg may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored ten points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10.

Phillipsburg's loss dropped their record down to 13-21. As for Ellsworth, they pushed their record up to 28-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Phillipsburg has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Goodland on the 20th. As for Ellsworth, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Scott on the 20th.
