Central Kitsap has gone a perfect 5-0 against Lincoln recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Central Kitsap Cougars will be playing at home against the Lincoln Abes at 4:00 p.m. Central Kitsap will be strutting in after a win while Lincoln will be coming in after a defeat.

Central Kitsap had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lakes on Monday. Central Kitsap's pitchers stepped up to hand Lakes a 10-0 shutout.

Savvy Paulson made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Paulson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

In other pitching news, Coral Howell looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low.

Back at the plate, Ava Day and Alex Berg did most of the damage at the plate: Day went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Berg scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. What's more, Berg posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Hinze, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Central Kitsap always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakes only posted an OBP of .167.

Meanwhile, Lincoln lost 21-2 to Peninsula on Monday.

Lincoln dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Central Kitsap, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Central Kitsap took their win against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 23-2. Will Central Kitsap repeat their success, or does Lincoln have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
