Basketball Game Preview: Ragsdale Tigers vs. T.W. Andrews Red Raiders + How To Watch

The Ragsdale Tigers will head out to face off against the T.W. Andrews Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ragsdale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully T.W. Andrews likes a good challenge.

Ragsdale will head out to face T.W. Andrews after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Tigers took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dudley.

Despite the defeat, Ragsdale had strong showings from Souleymane Sy, who posted 21 points and seven steals, and AJ Patrick, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 15 points and three steals. Sy's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Louis, who earned five points and six rebounds.

While T.W. Andrews didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They managed a 52-46 win over Western Guilford on Saturday. Given the Red Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Hornets are ranked 314th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ragsdale suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-3. As for T.W. Andrews, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Ragsdale couldn't quite get it done against T.W. Andrews in their previous meeting back in November of 2019 as they fell 61-54. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
