Softball Recap: Maple Mountain Takes Down Bountiful in a Playoff Battle

Maple Mountain had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Bountiful RedHawks on Tuesday. This was payback for the Golden Eagles, who suffered a 9-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brettlyn Walker was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylee Robinson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs.

Maple Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Bountiful, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 26-5.

Maple Mountain has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against West Jordan on the 20th. As for Bountiful, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Springville on the 20th.
