Volleyball Recap: Davis Sr. Comes Up Short

Davis Sr. was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vista del Lago Eagles. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Gabriel Crawford paced Davis Sr.'s offense, picking up seven kills. Crawford got some help from Mohammad Reggad and his 18 assists. Crawford was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Aahan Gandhi was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last 12 games.

Davis Sr.'s defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Vista del Lago, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Davis Sr. wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Whitney on the 15th. As for Vista del Lago, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Mountain House on the 15th.
