Baseball Recap: Wooster Takes Down Midview in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wooster walked away with it. They never let the Midview Middies get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Wooster is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Midview, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Coming up, Wooster will square off against Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Generals 2.2, the Blue Streaks 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Midview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
