Basketball Recap: Canton Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Canton challenged Holmes County Central on Tuesday. The Canton Tigers fell 55-46 to the Holmes County Central Jaguars. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Holmes County Central, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton and Gentry will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Holmes County Central will take on Forest Hill in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
