The Pearland Oilers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Shadow Creek Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Pearland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Pearland posted their biggest victory since December 2, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Alief Hastings 62-40. Given Pearland's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Alief Hastings is ranked 1046th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Shadow Creek waltzed into their game on Friday with 14 straight wins but they left with 15. They blew past Strake Jesuit, posting a 78-50 win on the road. Shadow Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Pearland's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Shadow Creek, they pushed their record up to 23-2 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
