Football Recap: Rio Americano Comes Up Short on the Road Against Granite Bay

Rio Americano had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Granite Bay Grizzlies, falling 45-17. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-3.

Although Rio Americano took the loss, they still got scores from Ryder Trantham and Josh Squaglia.

Isaiah Ene was a one-man wrecking crew For Granite Bay. as he rushed for 64 yards and two TDs. Ene has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Coming up, Rio Americano will take on Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Granite Bay, they will head out to take on Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
